Nick Wagner

Nick Wagner is a tattoo artist with a strong illustrative style that has been tattooing in his hometown of Jacksonville Florida since September 1995.
Nick focuses on projects with themes that revolve around Asian motifs (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Balinese, etc, etc), Lovecratian horrors, various mythological characters, sci-fi, comic books, and monsters.

Though he prefers to do color designs, Nick is equally comfortable with executing designs in “black and gray”

NICK’S HOURLY RATES:
As indicated in his artist’s profile, Nick’s base hourly price is $220 for new custom project requests and $240 for cover ups or reworks of another artist’s work.

HOWEVER, he also offers other rates because he also maintains a books of personal custom designs and exclusive personal flash designs. Nick also curates  a flash rack AND books of flash by other artists that are available to view at any time in the shop’s lobby.

Here is the full breakdown of sliding scale rates for different tattoos available from Nick:
~Your idea for an all new custom project request, $220 an hour

~Cover ups or reworks of previous tattoos by another artist, $240 an hour

~Nick’s book of custom/one off* tattoo designs custom designs drawn and ready to go**, $180 an hour

*Clients can choose to get any custom/one off tattoo design at Nick’s flash book rate if they agree to let him add the design to his book of flash designs for future use

**No design changes allowed at this reduced hourly rate, but you CAN change any color designs to black and gray for the $180 an hour rate if that is your preference

~Nick’s book of permanent flash designs, $160  an hour or fixed price (whichever is greater)

~Any flash design from the shop’s selection of curated flash in the wall rack or books in the shop’s lobby, $140 per hour

***Keep in mind, the $160 an hour rate only applies if you bring Nick a ready to go image. If you want to build a new montage image from multiple images or have him draw something “based off of” images you submit, that falls under the custom work rate of $220 an hour because the significant increase in work that combining or creating a new image incurs.
