About Sole del Real

Sole is an accomplished custom tattoo artist who works in a wide range of styles. She primarily likes to do traditional themes, mandalas, and flowers in her beautiful brand of updated, contemporary treatments, rendered in primarily black and gray with elements of stippling and patterns.

Sole works Tuesday through Friday each week, and requires a one hour deposit ($180) to set an appointment, her hourly rate is $180, and her minimum sitting time each session is 3 hours/$540

*Since starting at Black Hive in 2013, Sole has built up a large, active roster of clientele. This means she usually opens up her books to new projects and/or new clients every 12-16 months.  *Her last “call for projects” was September 2021.

To receive emails when Sole opens up her books for new project requests, sign up for the shop newsletter. HOWEVER, for last minute openings due to cancellations and custom designs she posts randomly on a first come first served basis, follow Sole on her Instagram account: @sole_d_r

Because the specifics of what she needs to set up a consultation can change slightly from year to year, specific details of what she requires to set up a consultation are included in each new newsletter, so when her newsletter comes out remember to read and follow Sole’s instructions carefully before submitting your request for new work.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sole came to the U.S at age ten with her family in search of a better future. She began developing her passion for art early on in high school.

Sole studied  at F. A .U from 2008-2012, where she began taking several art college level courses, continued to work on her painting techniques, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an interest in Graphic Design. While in school, Sole became more and more intrigued by tattoos, and began getting tattooed frequently by local artists that she still looks up to.

In late 2010 Sole began tattooing professionally in South Florida. Tattooing is something that is very dear to Sole, and she works to increase her knowledge and  technique about tattooing  everyday, which is why she made the move to Black Hive Tattoo in September of 2014 to broaden her experience and develop new techniques.
